Grade 8
To be in band, or to not be in band. That is the true question.
Today Mark R. Isfeld’s band and jazz band came to our school to play for us. Following the wonderful and very loud performance, Mrs.Smith asked us if we would want to be in band when we reached grade 8 (if the teachers would tolerate us for that much longer).
During my brothers first year of high school, (which was grade 9 because there has been a configuration since then) He played the tenor saxophone. I always loved it, and if I was lucky sometimes he would let me fool around with it! It was so much fun! When I am in grade I hope to also play the tenor sax.
My favourite part of the performance was the featured soloist. They played the kazoo!
Do you play an instrument? If so which one? Is band an option at your school? I would like to find out.

Hi Sophie! My name is Abbey and I found your blog through Miss W’s Student Blogging Competition.
Our middle school starts at 5th grade, and we choose to do either band, choir, or orchestra then. I am in band, and I play the flute. My friends play alto saxaphone, french horn, cello, and violin.
I hope you choose to do band, because I believe that you will have a great time like I do!

I think that you should be in band. My name is Kyle and I’m in the 6th grade band. Percussion is fun for me because you are the beat keeper in the entire band. I think that saxaphone would be a good choice too because I think that it would be fun. See ya!

Hello. My name is Abigail and I also found your blog through Mrs. W’s. I go to Abbey’s school, but I am in choir and I guess I use my voice. Band sounds great, and if I was in band I think I would either play the flute or clarinet, but that is my opinion. I think it is awesome that you are considering band, and I hope you have a good time whatever you choose!

Yes I am being Spider-man for Halloween! lol. My brother Ben played all the differant kinds of sax. There’s three right? I think that it would be lots of fun to play the clairanet I don’t know why thats just what I think. I might also be learning how to play the Violin! that would be AWESOME.

I play in the orchestra at my high school {I’m in grade 10}
I also play in our youth city orchestra.
